Learning for Life

St Finn Barr’s has a professional and dedicated staff who are committed to providing high levels of learning for all students in our School. Teaching staff work in Professional Learning Communities to collaboratively plan, teach and assess to ensure exceptional delivery of the curriculum.

The Curriculum at St Finn Barr’s Catholic School is based on the Australian Curriculum and the Early Years Framework. We strive to ensure that our teaching and learning programs take into consideration the needs of all our students.

Specialist lessons for all students include Physical Education, Music, Drama and Art.

St Finn Barr’s also provides your child with an opportunity to discover their faith through our Religious Education programs. The Good News for Living framework guides our Religious Education program and our School community works to inspire your child’s values education through the Making Jesus Real program.

Acknowledgement of Country

St Finn Barr’s Catholic School is located on the Country of the Tayarinutipana, the Panina and the Litarimirina people of the Stoney Creek Nations, who belong to the land above the floodplains where the three rivers, kanamaluka, plipatumila and laykila meet. We acknowledge and deeply respect the Palawa people, the Tasmanian Aboriginal Community, and all Elders past and present. We are committed to learning alongside our students and community in this place and support the continued sharing of knowledge and Culture.
